Compressed Gas Rail Tank Cars

VTG offers individually adapted compressed gas tank cars for carrying compressed or deep-frozen liquefied gases of RID class 2.

Almost every type of compressed gas – liquefied hydrocarbon gases (LPG), chlorine, vinyl chloride, ammonia or also ethylene oxide – can be transported in these wagons. Suitably designed and equipped units are always available to meet demand and can also be adapted to satisfy special customer requirements.

The transport capacity of gas rail tank cars ranges from 22 m³ to 122 m³.

VTG always offers new solutions, particularly for transporting highly sensitive hazardous goods. To make carrying hazardous goods by rail even safer, we also provide vehicles with special safety features, such as the Crash Protected Rail Tank Car (CPR tank car) for transporting chlorine.
